Winter. Such an attractive looking word. It brings to mind crisp white snow, glistening ice particles weighing heavily upon bowed branches of an evergreen, a bath of rich golden light from a festively decked hearth and not to mention the pearly whites and rosy cheeks of children all bundled to play outdoors. Doing battlle against winter blues (AND quitting smoking), I am in the midst of drawing a holiday picture and have a few back ups in mind just in case this one doesn't work out. I've left it sitting now for several days and it's time to pull out of the funk and work on these darned difficult pine needles!
