Hello everyone, and welcome to the 10 th Muro for *Membership contest! Here you have the chance to win one of three one month premium memberships by making a Muro drawing either in the journal comments or by linking one that's based off of two or more provided themes each month. What makes this contest unique? That no matter what your skill level is as an artist, as long as you meet the minimum requirements of each months contest, you are eligible to randomly win a premium membership. After the end of each contest's submission period, each qualifying deviant will receive a number starting at one and go up as high as it needs to, and after each person gets a number they are entered into a random number generator and the middle and last numbers that represent the people will win a one month premium membership.

So =Elfyah and I have decided to host another contest for the summer! The theme is Water. Could be the beach, lakes, waterfalls, dew drops, puddles, etc. Anything as long as water is the subject (and of course, following the group's regular rules)!

The One World Cause Event

Beginning in March, and running until July, the One World Cause Event shall be the new focus of several News articles, A Contest, and Weekly Special Edition Gallery Features, all in the effort to bring attention to Causes that make our world a better place for those in need . Supporting those Causes that touch us the most is as easy as putting pencil to paper, snapping a shutter or applying paint to canvas.

It only takes ONE to begin a movement, but it takes MANY to carry it along. You can make a difference.

This is a call to all Visual Artists, regardless of preferred medium. Get your creativity on! Your work could inspire someone to keep up the fight against all odds. What better reward in life then to know you made a difference somewhere, with someone, at sometime?

Clubs
Any Cause related Clubs here at dA are invited to submit a link to their club for feature consideration in the One World journal that will be updated weekly. If you know of a club or are an administrator of a club that sponsors or supports a particular Cause, please submit the link to the club to be featured. Cause supporting clubs will be included in a future publication of One World here on dA in the news.

One World Cause Event

The One World contest closes July 5th 2009.

Entrants may submit up to 3 works in the One World contest.

Create an ORIGINAL artwork dedicated to the Cause of your Choice. One World Cause Event. (See link inside for suggestions.)

All Mediums Accepted.

Subject must be relevant to the Cause chosen and tasteful. Artwork is subject to disqualification if offensive. Please respect the cause your work is representing.

All works newly created for the One World will be donated to the Charity or Foundation they were created for. Entry to this contest affirms the Artists donation and permission for their work to be used by the Charity or Foundation of their choice for limited use of the artwork in advertising or fundraising events. The Artist will retain all ownership rights to their work. Submission of your work to the One World contest is your unwritten consent to the above.

Winners will be chosen from 3 categories. Photography, Digital, and Traditional. 1st prize position, and 2 honorable mention positions for each category. The contest conclusion will be published in News with the winners receiving a feature in the news and on the Weekly Special Edition Gallery Feature regardless of what other prize packages are offered.
